Ovation 28 & 56 Humidity Pan Sliding Shutter Conversion kit for Eco & Advance models.

Ovation 28 & 56 Humidity Pan Sliding Shutter Conversion - x1 shutter, x1 water pan cover grille and instructions on use supplied.

This clever and effective humidity shutter and modified water pan grille enables more precise manual adjustment of humidity in an Ovation 28 or 56 Advance and Eco model. (Please note it is not required in an Ovation 28 or 56 EX which has automatic and programmable humidity control).

Ovation 28 & 56 Advance: simply adjust the shutter to adjust the humidity in the machine according to your requirements and monitor with the digital humidity display.

Ovation 28 Eco (no built-in hygrometer): As a general guide for poultry/game/waterfowl, maintain water in one of the two water pans with the adjustable air vent set to open (maximum)

Set the water water pan shutter to '1' from the time eggs are set until 2 days before hatching is due - the depth of water doesn't matter. If the incubator is full of parrot egg (and parrot like species) the incubator may be run without water for some of the early incubation period.

For the last two days of incubation: For all species fill both pans, remove the water pan shutter and set the adjustable air vent to minimum. Higher humidity levels are needed for hatching to prevent membranes drying too quickly. Ensure the water pan covers are fitted to prevent chicks drowning.

Ovation 56 Eco (no built-in hygrometer): As a general guide the shutter is unlikely to be required to achieve recommended humidity levels due to the larger volume of air in the machine. For the last two days of incubation: for all species fill both pans, remove the water pan shutter and set the adjustable air vent to minimum. Higher humidity levels are needed for hatching to prevent membranes drying too quickly. Ensure the water pan covers are fitted to prevent chicks drowning.
